Let our staff tell you what it’s like to work at McVey & Murricane…
“When I started three years ago, I was initially carrying out basic remortgage transactions, but I was quickly encouraged to take on more complex cases, involving things like transfers of titles. Then I was given the chance to move to the conveyancing department where I am now in charge of transactions from start to finish, under the oversight of a solicitor. Throughout this time the company has made sure I have got the training I need to progress, and I’m now attending university in the evenings and am in the last year of my LLB. Three years from now I certainly hope I’ll be using my law degree for even more challenging and enjoyable work.”

“I started with McVey & Murricane as a legal secretary in the conveyancing department. I displayed an interest in the process and the company gave me the chance to start taking on my own case loads and clients. Since then, I’ve also worked in remortgaging and in March this year I passed a paralegal course. Now I handle cases from start to finish, from the offers until the very end, which is great because you develop a real relationship with the client, and it’s certainly more interesting than being a secretary. Four years ago I came in the door not really knowing anything about the law, and now I’m a paralegal helping people buy their houses – four years from now I hope to have undergone even more training and be even more involved in all aspects of the residential property market.”
